Welcoming Children in Worship, an Initiative by The Catholic University of America

Project host:

The Catholic University of America

Project description:

Welcoming Children in Worship is an initiative by The Catholic University of America seeking to nurture the full, conscious and active participation of children in the Eucharist. Their website, which can be accessed through the link below, contains several digital resources that “Invite and form children in vibrant in-person, face-to-face communities of worship, prayer, and reflection” (Faculty Lead and project host, Jem Sullivan, Ph.D.). The offerings range from liturgical season guides and podcasts to research on the liturgical formation of children.

“Welcoming Children in Worship is the fruit of a unique collaboration across the university among the School of Theology and Religious Studies; the International Center for Ward Method Studies; the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music, Drama and Art, and experts, scholars, and special guests, known nationally and internationally. The Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate (CARA) is a vital partner providing innovative research to support and inspire the vision and creation of formational resources. And talented media professionals support our ability to share these resources with you.”
