Classroom visits by priests, speaking with students about the Real Presence in the Eucharist

Project host:

Aquinas Academy of Pittsburgh

Project description:

In the course of the school year, our two priests on campus will visit each classroom (2 of each grade, K – 12) to talk specifically about the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, and the power of knowing that Jesus is truly present on campus, readily accessible to students, in the tabernacle.

Students have the opportunity to attend Mass on M, T, W, and F. Our priests and our teachers will encourage students and provide opportunity, either individually or as classes, to regularly visit the chapel for a time of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, including when there is exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.

By encouraging prayer in the Presence of Our Lord, students will continue to develop a richer relationship with Jesus, with the desired outcome that they will more fully reflect charity and justice in their relationships with others.
